Whether he’s playing WSB agent Robert Scorpio on General Hospital, Hunter Jones, P.I. on The Bold and the Beautiful, or that scoundrel Colin Atkinson on The Young and the Restless, fans absolutely adore Tristan Rogers. But that’s not the only thing he has to celebrate.
That’s because the handsome actor was born on June 3, 1946, in Melbourne, Australia, which means he’s turning 73 today! Rogers has been married to Teresa Parkerson since May 21, 1995, and they have two adult children — Sara Jane and Cale.
American soap opera audiences first fell for him back in 1981, when he joined GH as Robert Scorpio. He ended up proving to be more than just a foil for Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) — Rogers took over his leading man status when Geary quit the show for a while.
As the super spy, Rogers enjoyed huge success as half of a few super couples, including Tiffany Hill (Sharon Wyatt), Holly Sutton (ex-girlfriend Emma Samms), and of course Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). But when his character learned he was Robin’s (Kimberly McCullough) father, Rogers found one of his best scene partners in her.
He enjoyed tremendous success on The Young and the Restless as Cane’s (Daniel Goddard) father, Colin, and even more so when he was paired with Jess Walton’s Jill. As for The Bold and the Beautiful, he wasn’t on that one for too long.
The actor has also had a healthy career with voice-over work. He’s done commercials for Outback Steakhouse, Foster’s Lager, Reebok, Epson, and also voiced the character of Jake in The Rescuers Down Under.
