Top 4 Most Toxic Soap Opera Couples of All Time!

 Comments

While soaps are filled with amazing super couples who somehow stand the test of time even when major obstacles are thrown their way, these sudsy daytime dramas often produce plenty of toxic relationships as well!

Here are some of the all-time most toxic and difficult pairings on daytime!

Father (In-law) Knows Best
Although he had been her father-in-law for many years, and Victor (Eric Braeden) treated Sharon (Sharon Case) more like a daughter than an in-law, for some reason, in 2012, it changed.

These two paired up in a more intimate way shocking Genoa City AND viewers with the unexpected and quite toxic, manipulative relationship!

What we wonder most is how Noah and Faith felt knowing that their mommy was married to their grandpa, not just once, but twice (plus, she also married their uncle Adam)?

Do you think there could ever be a third time for this nearly incestuous Newman relationship?

All in the Family
While fans are thrilled to see Sami (Alison Sweeney) back in Salem, there was a time when this daytime queen was a boyfriend stealing disaster on Days of Our Lives. Surely nobody will forget how toxic her relationship with Austin (Austin Peck) was back in the 90s and then again in the early 00s.

She worked hard to steal her sister Carrie’s boyfriend and drugged him so he slept with her thinking she was Carrie.

She got pregnant (with Lucas’ son) and convinced Austin little Will was his. They married once in 1996 and got engaged again in 2005.

At this time, however, this poisonous relationship appears to be fully in the past.

Lady in Red
Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and Alan Quartermaine (Stuart Damon) never should’ve happened on General Hospital. Their affair led to Alan to leave Monica and Monica to leave Port Charles for a while.

Plus, it spawned an unforgettable red wedding dress that perfectly characterized their more hellish than heaven sent relationship!

She wanted his money and he wanted her passion, but this relationship was obviously doomed from the get-go.

Right Over a Cliff
Any relationship that involves an unexpected, murderous cliff dive and a threatening ax can most certainly be classified as the ultimate toxic relationship!

That’s exactly what happened on The Bold and the Beautiful with Quinn (Rena Sofer) and Deacon (Sean Kanan). She unsuccessfully tried to kill Deacon by pushing him off a cliff by the ocean to cover up her kidnapping of Liam (Scott Clifton).

Later, he threatened her with an ax after discovering Liam escaped and left her locked in a closet!

Which daytime relationship do you think is the all-time most toxic?
