Top Four Soap Characters Who Never Seem to Change!

The great thing about soaps is that since they take place five days a week, 52 weeks a year, and some characters are on for decades – an incredible amount of growth can take. But sometimes – that just never seems to happen.

Doesn’t it seem that your favorites often make the same mistake, time and time again. They never learn! And as much as you keep face-palming yourself (and yelling at the TV), nothing seems to change – you wouldn’t have it any other way.

Soap Hub asked which character you feel has evolved the least and you were torn.

Mafia Kingpin
General Hospital (GH) fans sure love their Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), even if he’s promised to leave the mob a cazillion times. No matter what, they keep pulling him back in. That’s how 32% of you feel and while you love that he tries, he never seems to change.

Jack of One Trade
Meanwhile 29% feel the golden boy from The Young and the Restless (YR), Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), never seems to learn that he can’t defeat Victor. Sure, it’s fun to watch him try and try again – until it’s painful to see him flop on his face. Poor Jack.

For 22%, it’s Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) on The Bold and the Beautiful who can’t seem to get it through his thick head that he shouldn’t shop for his new love interest on the other side of his dad’s bed. First Brooke and now Quinn. Oh Ridge!

Once a Shark…
While so many on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) think Grandpa Victor (John Aniston) has mellowed, we’re betting his family knows better. Deimos certainly knew not to be on the wrong end of an argument with his brother. Will Sonny learn the lesson the hard way?
