In January, the Daytime Emmys gave you the pre-nominations with multiple actors from almost every show earning one in each acting category.
Since then, your favorite soap stars have been preparing their reels and the Blue Ribbons panels have been judging what actors think was their best work in 2017.
But, that doesn’t mean they are done and we have a winner because we still need the final nominations, which will be announced tomorrow on CBS’ The Talk.
That’s when we finally see the narrowed down list, and get the surprise (not) of learning which soaps are nominated.
(Hint: There are four soaps left on the air. They will all be nominated.)
Once the final nominations are announced, those who receive nods will begin working on yet another reel to determine just who takes home the gold.
As those reels are released to the public, Soap Hub will begin publishing them in May so you can judge for yourself as if you’re picking the winner.
The Daytime Emmys will be presented on April 29 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. As of now, there are no plans to air it on TV, but it will be live streamed online along with the red carpet pre-show. When Soap Hub knows all the streaming details, you will too.
