A murder that wasn’t, a sting operation, and more: It’s all part of the drama that make the daytime world go around.
Here’s a look at the top four storylines dominating soaps right now.
Mad About You
Determined to reconcile with Michael (Chad Duell), Nelle (Chloe Lanier) devised a plan to drive his mom Carly (Laura Wright) mad and out of their lives.
It worked like a charm with Carly ending up in a mental hospital and Michael proposing. Little does Nelle know it’s a ruse, and her fiancé is setting her up.
Things are about to take an explosive turn now that Michael is collaborating with the PCPD to orchestrate his “death” and expose Nelle, while Jason (Steve Burton) works separately to bring her down. Will the two plots collide and end in disaster?
Dead Man Walking
After Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) clobbered the abusive JT (Thad Luckinbill) over the head with a fire poker and he was presumed dead, she, Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Sharon (Sharon Case), and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) buried his body at Chancellor Park.
Covering up the crime took its toll on the foursome, but nothing could have prepared them for the shocking twist it would take.
First, Victoria started receiving messages from her “dead” ex. Then, JT turned up alive in Genoa City hellbent on revenge, which means the best of this story is yet to come.
Cabin Fever
Ben (Robert Scott Wilson), who was just released from Ferncliff, discovered Ciara (Victoria Konafel), who crashed her motorcycle, and carried her to safety at a cabin –- the same cabin he once left Abigail (then Kate Mansi) and Chad (Billy Flynn) to die.
As Ben cared for Ciara, he won her trust. However, once his meds ran out and he was plagued with hallucinations, Ciara feared he could resort to his old killer self.
Fortunately, she was able to reach Ben and convince him to head to the pharmacy, but then the cabin caught on fire with Ciara inside. Did Ben set it ablaze or is it an eerie coincidence? And, if it is, will anyone believe him?
My Two Baby Mamas
Bill’s (Don Diamont) machinations were exposed, baby Kelly was born, and it looked like Steffy (Jacqueline McInnes Wood) and Liam (Scott Clifton) were finally about to embark on their happily ever after.
Not so fast. Before the couple could even begin planning their remarriage, Hope (Anika Noelle) discovered she was pregnant with Liam’s child.
It’s left poor Liam in the middle of a double daddy drama, as he grapples with which baby mama he’s meant to spend the rest of his life with, and fans mesmerized by his dilemma.
