It’s not just on soaps where couples split up and get back together again. Longtime soap veteran Rena Sofer has news to share about her former husband and their future together!
Sofer (Quinn, BB) has shared on social media that she and her ex, Sanford Bookstaver, are getting married again!
The couple first wed in 2003. Sofer gave birth to their daughter, Avalon, in 2005. Later, the couple split. But it seems that divorcing was what they needed to go through in order to realize they wanted to be together!
“What a weekend I’ve had!!” Sofer wrote. “HE ASKED ME AGAIN AND I SAID YES!!! @sbookstaver I have spent almost 19 years of my life with you and am so happy to spend the rest of my remaining years on this earth by your side.
“While I don’t recommend divorce as a marriage counseling tool, it sure worked for us! I love you more than anything!!!!”
The actress first came on the soap scene as Rocky on Loving in the late 1980s. Next, she was cast as Lois on General Hospital, the role that won her the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series in 1995.
There, she met and wed co-star Wally Kurth (Ned). The two have a grown daughter, Rosabel Rosalind.
