Don Diamont had to be fast on his feet for his character to avoid Sally’s gunfire on The Bold and the Beautiful. Now, he’s doing a different kind of dance as the latest celebrity to join Dancing With the Stars!
Diamont, who plays “Dollar” Bill Spencer on B&B, isn’t joining the U.S. version of the reality hit dance show (which won’t be doing a traditional spring season this year), but instead he’s signed up for the Italian version of the competition series.
Ronn Moss (ex-Ridge) competed on Italy’s Dancing With the Stars in 2010 and came in second place.
Diamont shared the news on Instagram, showing a photo of himself striking a pose along with his dance pro partner Hanna Karttunen.
Karttunen is a Finnish professional Latin American and exhibition dancer. Watch for her to keep Diamont on his toes as she’s won numerous titles for her work in the dance world including United Kingdom Open Champion, World Series Champion, Dutch Open Champion, United States Open Champion, and the Asian Open Champion.
No word yet on how Diamont will split his time between Italy and Los Angeles. He may tape scenes in advance in order for Bill to appear continuously as the drama unfolds on B&B.
