What do soap opera former soap stars John Ingle (Edward Quartermaine, General Hospital), Michael E. Knight (Dr. Simon Neville, The Young and the Restless), and Peter Reckell (Bo Brady, Days of Our Lives) have in common, besides the obvious?
These talented actors were all born on May 7th. Ingle, who died in 2012, was the oldest in this group, and the youngest was hard to tell between Reckell and Knight.
Nothing But The Truth!
Reckell is older than Knight by a several years. The DOOL alum was born on May 7, 1955 while the former Y&R and All My Children actor was born on May 7, 1959.
However, if their age was dependent on the characters they portrayed on Y&R and DOOL, it’s safe to say Knight’s drab, fuddie duddie Dr. Neville seemed years older than Reckell’s leather jacket-wearing, motorcycle-riding Salem goodie Bo.
Of course, sharing the same birthday also means sharing the same sun sign, the Taurus.
Interestingly, each of these actors have appeared on multiple soap operas and their history with daytime goes back more than 20 years. Surprisingly, Ingle was never nominated for an Emmy and Knight has the most awards for daytime dramas.
