The all-soap-star band Port Chuck was ready to get back on tour, but today Steve Burton told fans via social media that a heart condition has sidelined bandmate Scott Reeves.
Reeves, who started his daytime career with a small role on Days of Our Lives (where he met wife of more than two decades, Melissa), made a name for himself as Ryan on The Young and the Restless and later as Steven Webber on General Hospital.
The actor has been off the daytime canvas for the last few years pursuing a music career near Nashville where he lives with his family. His fellow band members include Burton, Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny), and Bradford Anderson (Spinelli).
Burton explained that he was with Reeves when he started feeling pain early this morning and he took him to the hospital, where he was admitted.
Late Monday, Burton updated fans that Reeves is doing ok, but that more tests are scheduled for Tuesday.
This isn’t the first major health scare for the actor, as sinus issues in the early 1990s caused an abscess in his brain that was thought to be a tumor. The condition occurred soon before he and Melissa (Jennifer, DAYS) were wed.
Along with Burton, other former GH co-stars wished the actor well on Monday, including Laura Wright (Carly) and Wally Kurth (Ned, also Justin on DAYS).
