Pretty much every soap has had that one couple that seemed to come out of nowhere, leaving you scratching your head trying to figure out why. But sometimes those pairs actually work out on soaps! Or do they?
Take The Bold and the Beautiful’s Wyatt (Darin Brooks). His last TWO girlfriends seemed to have come out of nowhere. He was hot and heavy with Katie (Heather Tom) one minute and the next he and Sally (Courtney Hope) can’t get enough of each other.

No Standard Answer
For 62%, it completely depends on the couple that is involved. You’ve seen it work plenty of times but you’ve also seen it crash and burn. Take The Young and the Restless’ Mia (Noemi Gonzalez) and Rey (Jordi Vilasuso), for example, who allegedly have this type of incredible passion.
While you’re supposed to be rooting for them to get their marriage on track, you never got the chance to invest in them… unlike Rey and Sharon (Sharon Case). So in this case, you can’t help but root for the homewrecker.
The Big Surprise
Meanwhile, 29% love it when the soaps throw something surprising your way! Most of the time you can see a new couple from a mile away but when your show surprises you, you love it!

Still, 9% are not happy when couples seem thrown together out of nowhere. Take Nelle (Chloe Lanier) and Michael (Chad Duell) on General Hospital. These two felt forced together, and no matter what, fans weren’t buying it.
But when Nelle turned out to be bad, it turned everything around and became must-see viewing as fans rooted for Michael to break free!
