Soap Vet Jason Thompson Celebrates An Amazing Milestone!

He’s beloved by two soap fan bases, and now Jason Thompson has even more reason to celebrate.

That’s because he was born on November 20, 1976, in Alberta, Canada, which means that he’s turning 42 years old today!

The handsome actor was discovered by a modeling scout when he was 16 and working at a restaurant in Edmonton, Alberta. By age 18, he left home for a career on the runway, and in print and commercial modeling.

But he also wanted to act, and once he committed to it, success followed. In 2000, he appeared as Miles on three episodes of the TV show Undressed, as well as Zoe, Duncan, Jack & Jane, and Felicity that same year. In 2002, he guested on Deep Cover.

But it was landing the role of Patrick on General Hospital back in 2005 that first won him a spot in the hearts of soap fans. He stayed in that role until 2016 and earned five Daytime Emmy nominations.

That same year, he took over the role of Billy Abbott from Billy Miller (who switched places with him, joining GH as Drew) and has been there ever since.

On the personal front, Thompson has been married to his wife Paloma since 2015 and the couple has a son, Bowie Banjo, who was born on May 23, 2016 and a daughter, Rome Coco, who was born on September 20, 2017.
