Some of the most recognizable names from the daytime soap opera world took to social media to react to the mass shooting at an Orlando gay nightclub that left 50 people dead Saturday.
Saturday night a man entered Pulse nightclub in Orlando and opened fire. In addition to the 50 people he killed, he wounded another 53. The shooter claimed allegiance to ISIS before he committed the crime. Soap stars joined many around the country expressing grief, condolences, and utter shocked at the tragic event.
They expressed what the many in the US voiced: how could this happen and what could be done about it? Here are some of the responses from the daytime community.
