Not only did Davidson encourage her husband to embark on this creative endeavor, but she also took part in it – playing Duke’s wife, KC.
“She’s more like me,” the two-time Daytime Emmy winner says. “She’s an actress, who hasn’t had the success that I’ve had. She’s more normal in some ways, but edgier than others because of the whole gambling backdrop.
“We have very good chemistry so it’s very easy for us to work together,” Davidson says of working onscreen with Van Patten.
“This is his baby. He was under an awful lot of pressure [to complete this], but we managed to get through it. We shot it a year and a half ago.”
Walk to Vegas is set to premiere at the Palm Springs Film Festival, currently underway, on Friday, January 11. The next step will be for the film to receive a distributor so more audiences can see it.
“We’ll see what happens,” Davidson says. “It’s very exciting. We have a few people who want to take it. Vinnie’s weighing his options.”
Walk to Vegas stars Van Patten, Davidson, Willie Garson (Sex & the City), John O’Hurley (ex-Jim, Y&R), Ross McCall (24: Live Another Day), Chad Lowe (Life Goes On), and Jennifer Tilly (Family Guy).
