John McCook plays a serious patriarch on The Bold and the Beautiful, but fans know he has a wry sense of humor. He put that wit to good use when revealing some big news of his own and some exciting news about his daughter, Molly!
McCook, who’s played patriarch Eric Forrester since the show’s inception in 1987, tweeted that he’s had hip replacement surgery!
While it’s no walk in the park, the actor added levity to his news by revealing that his daughter Molly, who has recurred on B&B in the past as Margot, a friend of Hope’s (Annika Noelle), landed a new “part” too; a role on the sitcom Last Man Standing.
The former ABC sitcom that stars Tim Allen and Nancy Travis is returning this fall on Fox.
There’s no word yet how long McCook will be out (if at all). The show might be able to shoot around his recovery schedule without having to recast the beloved actor.
Molly and I both got new parts today: “Last Man Standing” for her , a hip replacement for me!!
