Don Diamont has had one incredible year! And, now, the soap vet is finishing it off with a very special occasion!
That’s because the actor was born on December 31, 1962, which means he’s turning 56 years old — just as the world turns 2019!
In addition to having a spectacular year on The Bold and the Beautiful in which his character, Bill, professed his love for both Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), Diamont was also part of a big whodunit story after Bill was shot by Taylor (Hunter Tylo)!
Off-screen, Diamont released his memoir My Seven Sons and How We Raised Each Other: (They Only Drive Me Crazy 30% of the Time).
Diamont first came to the attention of soap fans as Carlos on Days of Our Lives in 1984. He romanced Liz (Gloria Loring) and suffered an untimely demise. The actor wasn’t out of work for long.
He soon joined the cast of The Young and the Restless where he played Brad Carlton from 1985 to 1996. He rejoined the show two years later in 1998 and played the part until early 2009, when Brad met an icy end saving the life of Noah Newman.
But it turned out CBS Daytime wasn’t finished with the popular actor. B&B scooped him up to play the role of Bill Spencer, Jr. the son of the late Bill Spencer, Sr. (original cast member Jim Storm). Diamont has shined in this bad boy role.
One minute, Bill’s manipulating the lives of his loved ones, infuriating them in the process, and in the next, he’s acting remorseful for his actions, which keeps his family coming back to him, willing to give him yet another chance.
Soap Hub joins Diamont’s family, friends, and fans in wishing the actor a happy birthday, many happy returns, and many more years playing “Dollar” Bill Spencer. You can wish him well two by clicking on the Twitter link below.
