Top 4 Unsung Heroes That Make Your Soap Opera Great

They are the ones who aren’t on your soap opera very much but always hit it out of the park when they are. These unsung heroes make everything better, whether it’s a wonderfully timed quip or a shoulder to lean on. Here are some of the best.

The Young and the Restless
Genoa City was certainly duller before Gloria (Judith Chapman) returned to town to spice things up. Jack was in dire need of a new thorn in his side.

Enter Gloria, always there to tell it like it is (or how she wants it to be), put Chloe in her place, and make her sons’ lives miserable – and we’re all the better for it.

General Hospital
It’s hard to think of Port Charles without Jane Elliot and her indomitable Tracy Quartermaine, and it’s been hard without her. She is the champion to unexpected underdogs, slayer of hostile takeovers, and just a pain in the butt mom to her two sons.

She speaks the truth even when you don’t want to hear it, and she’s the one person who keeps Monica on her toes at all times.

Days of Our Lives
Roman (Josh Taylor) used to be an integral part of Salem life, but now the torch has been passed to his son and the rest of that generation. It was a shock when Roman announced his retirement from the Salem Police Department.

He could always be counted on to be fair and lend a helping hand when needed. Now it looks like he’ll be doing that behind a bar. Hopefully this will get him more involved and in Salem because he makes everything better.

The Bold and the Beautiful
Pam (Alley Mills) has been working at Forrester Creations as the right hand to the CEO, but she is so much more than that.

She’s family – Stephanie’s sister and chief Lemon Bar maker extraordinaire. But, she’s fiercely protective and doesn’t mind getting her hands dirty if it will help someone she loves.

While we don’t see her much, she sure knows how to make it count. Not many were willing to take on Quinn but Pam jumped in and did what she had to do. It didn’t always end well, but it was always entertaining.
