Thanks to the Star Wars saga and being the daughter of Hollywood royalty, Carrie Fisher was a princess for many in this country.
That’s just one of the reasons so many of us — soap opera stars included — are taking her death so hard. She was beloved for the roles she played and for the obstacles life threw at her that she overcame — everyone rooted for her to succeed.
She shared her demons, putting every single one on display through her various books, making us feel even closer to her.
Her death is being mourned by millions, with many taking to social media to share their grief and what she meant to them. Here are some that were shared by her co-stars and your favorite soap stars.

I’m deeply saddened at the news of Carrie’s passing. She was a dear friend, whom I greatly respected and admired. The force is dark today!
