The soap opera ratings race for the week ending March 31 show good news for three soaps and bad news for a fourth.
After weeks of failing ratings for all your daytime faves, only General Hospital (GH) recently posted some bad numbers.
General Hospital
While GH remained in third place and pulled in 2,502,000 overall viewers on average, it was down 39,000 from the week before and 316,000 from the year before.
The only place where the soap made any gains was with women 18-34, where it was up a mere 9,000 viewers from the previous week.
The Young and the Restless
The Young and the Restless (YR) maintained its decades-long number one perch, with 4,464,000 average viewers overall. It gained 158,000 from the previous week, but lost a whopping 651,000 from the same time last year.
However, Y&R was up from the previous week in all four female demographics.
The Bold and the Beautiful
Sister soap The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) took second place once again, garnering 3,609,000 viewers on average overall, up 134,000 from the week before, but down 222,000 from the year before.
B&B also made gains from the previous week with women 18-49 and 18-34.
Days of Our Lives
Days of Our Lives (DOOL) came in last place once again, pulling in 2,194,000 viewers overall. It was up 105,000 from the week before, yet down 86,000 from the same time last year.
DAYS did manage to make gains from the previous week in all four female demos.
