James Hyde is famous to soap fans for his role as Sam on Passions. The actor was with the show from the beginning until its cancellation in 2008. Although it’s been 17 years since the show’s ending, Hyde maintains a close friendship with his former co-stars.
Magical Reunion
After Passions’ cancellation, the cast went on to pursue other ventures. Hyde had a brief role as Jeremy on The Young and the Restless and on the telenovela La Reina Del Sur. But the actor hasn’t forgotten about the soap opera that made him famous.
Recently, Hyde reunited with his former Passions co-stars Juliet Mills and Rodney Van Johnson. The actor posted about their gathering on Instagram. The trio posed for a photo and Hyde captioned the post, “Got to go and have lunch and collaborate with my 2 fellow #nbcpassions actors and friends. Stay tuned for more to come.”
But that wasn’t the end of their reunion.
In a video, Mills tapped into her Passions alter ego, the witchy Tabitha Lennox. “Hello everyone,” Mills greeted viewers. “I think it’s high time and long overdue that we get a few Passions people together again. And so, I’m going to magic a couple of my favorite Passions people right here into my garden, right in front of your very eyes.” With a wave of her hands, Hyde and Johnson then appear. The two men are stunned to see each other and Juliet, who then hands them a couple of fruity brews.
The guys sip on their drinks and then are transformed into their Passions characters, TC and Sam. “I think it’s time we stirred up some trouble,” Mills declared. “And let’s see if we can get a few of those other deadbeats from Passions in here. Let’s plot and plan. We’ve got a scheme.”
Hyde wrote, “This is a teaser to some great things coming.” So, could there be a full-fledged Passions cast reunion? Possibly for a reboot of the soap opera? Fans will have to wait and see what magic the trio drum up.
