Which Soap Opera Actor Hasn’t Worked With An Oscar Winner?

When you watch your favorite soap opera, you are seeing some of the most talented actors around. Whether they’re the ones who are already great or helping others achieve greatness, the sky’s the limit.

And some have worked with people who have gone on to win the ultimate acting prize – an Oscar. Find out which of your favorites have worked with future Oscar winners.

The Young and the Restless (YR)
It’s hard to remember a time when Michael Baldwin wasn’t a part of the Genoa City scene, but Christian LeBlanc was teen heartthrob Kirk McCall on As the World Turns in the mid-1980s.

One of his love interests during that time was Marcy Thompson — played by Marisa Tomei. She would later go on to win Best Supporting Actress for her role in My Cousin Vinny.

General Hospital (GH)
While Valentin remains a mystery in Port Charles, actor James Patrick Stuart has had a long and well-documented career, dating back to when he played Will Courtlandt on All My Children.

But at the same time, he appeared as a bell hop in a little film called Pretty Woman, sharing scenes with future Oscar winner Julia Roberts. She went on to win for the title role in Eric Brockovich.

Days of Our Lives (DOOL)
A Martinez (Eduardo) has had quite a career prior to landing in Salem. He’s been in many films, episodic television and of course soap operas like General Hospital and Santa Barbara.

But very early on, he appeared in a western, The Cowboys, with the legendary John Wayne. He would later go on to win an Oscar for his role in True Grit. Martinez also worked with multiple Oscar winner Meryl Streep in She-Devil.

The Bold and the Beautiful (BB)
Pierson Fodé has acted in many projects already in his young career, but he has yet to act with a future Oscar winner. He did recently appear in a film It’s Time. Perhaps he will be that winner one day soon.
