The biggest movie in the U.S. this weekend was the live action version of Beauty and the Beast.
But, in addition to being a book, an animated feature, and a stage show, there have also been two TV series of the same name. One starred Linda Hamilton and Ron Pearlman in 1987, and a reboot with Kristin Kreuk was created in 2012. Which of these four soap opera actors appeared in some version of the tale?
The Young and the Restless
You love to hate Mishael Morgan as Hilary each day, but the stunning actress also appeared in the pilot of the 2012 version of Beauty and the Beast as the hostess. She wasn’t the only Y&R star to do so. Upcoming returnee, Marla Adams (Dina), appeared in the 1987 version as Helen.
General Hospital
You may not know whether or not Julian is alive, but his portrayer, William deVry, appeared in five episodes of the 2012 version as Dr. Sorenson. Not to be outdone, Kimberly McCullough (Robin) has also been a part of the franchise. She appeared on one episode of the 1987 version as Abbey.
Days of Our Lives
While Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe) personifies Beauty, she is the only actor pictured who has not appeared in any version of the acclaimed story.
This is actually a real shame, since the talented actress is also a trained opera singer and therefore could add a heck of a lot to any of the musical versions. There’s still hope since the popular show is bound to be rebooted yet again.
The Bold and the Beautiful
While beautiful Rena Sofer may play a beast of character on B&B as Quinn, the talented actress played Sabrina in an episode of the 2012 reboot. Sofer has appeared on various primetime television shows, including NCIS, Chicago P.D., and Once Upon a Time.
