You’re used to seeing them during the day playing very different kinds of characters, but now these soap stars are taking something entirely brand new.
A host of your favorite daytimers are set to star in a made-for-TV movie on Lifetime this month.
The flick is called The Sinister Surrogate, and it stars General Hospital’s Kelly Thiebaud (Britt) and John J. York (Mac), former The Bold and the Beautiful star Maeve Quinlan (ex-Megan), Days of Our Lives star Mary Beth Evans (Kayla), and All My Children star Brooke Newton (ex-Colby).
Thiebaud plays Danielle, who, along with her husband Josh, has found the perfect surrogate to bear their child. But when the surrogate gives birth to a beautiful baby girl, the happy couple learns how deep and dark a mother’s love can go, according to the movie’s official website.
Evans plays a doctor… but she isn’t the only one playing a character similar to her soap job. York is portraying a detective, harking back to Mac’s past as the police commissioner.
Quinlan appears as a character named Carol Morrison who mixes things up with Thiebaud’s character, according to an Instagram post from Quinlan of the two together.
In the film, the surrogate might not be the one the couple should fear — she might just be a pawn in someone else’s game — someone who will stop at nothing to take what she views as hers. If this is Quinlan’s character, it should make for some awesome viewing!
The film airs at 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 13.
