One has been lording over Genoa City since the early 80s and the other has been the crime lord of Port Charles since the early 90s. This weekend, both Eric Braeden (Victor, The Young and the Restless) and Maurice Benard (Sonny, General Hospital) got together over dinner and we wish we could have been a fly on the wall.
The meeting was arranged by ESPN host Stephen A. Smith, who appears as Sonny’s henchman, Brick, on GH every so often.
When Braeden appeared on Smith’s show to promote his new autobiography “I’ll Be Damned,” he suggested the sports host appear on Y&R. Smith reminded him he’s already a GH player, so perhaps there’s now a war to see which soap can nab him more.
Benard and Smith shared pics of the dinner on social media, and it even looks like all three men coordinated outfits ahead of time.
