Soap-Hopper Judith Chapman Celebrates Amazing Milestone!

Judith Chapman is a household name among soap fans. In fact, she’s known to viewers of all four of the current daytime dramas, and today she’s celebrating something special!

The actress, is known to fans of both The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful (on which she appeared in 2014) as Gloria Fisher Bardwell.

Chapman, a native of Greenville, South Carolina, was born on November 15, 1951, which means she’s turning 67 years old today.

The actress first came to the attention of soap fans with her portrayal of devious Natalie Bannon on As the World Turns. She then appeared as Charlotte Greer on Ryan’s Hope.

Next, Chapman took on a tough challenge — playing Ginny Blake, Dr. Rick Webber’s (Chris Robinson) eventual love interest on General Hospital, following the exit of Robinson’s beloved leading lady, Denise Alexander (Lesley).

After Ginny left Port Charles, Chapman took over the role of Anjelica Deveraux on Days of Our Lives, which she recently reprised on the soap’s recent offbeat Halloween episode.

Trivia buffs know that Chapman’s first appearance on Y&R wasn’t as Gloria — she stepped in to play Jill Abbott for one day in the early 1990s!

Chapman’s primetime career includes appearances on The Love Boat, Magnum P.I., Flamingo Road, Buck Rogers, and Silk Stalkings. She screen-tested for the iconic role of Dallas’ Pamela Barnes Ewing (that went to Victoria Principal).

Away from soaps, Chapman is an accomplished stage actress and director. She brought to life actress Vivien Leigh in her one-woman show, Vivien!
