It’s time for soap opera February Sweeps, and fantastical fan theories are coming fast and furious! Often, soap fans know their shows better than the shows know themselves, and they come up with ideas that are as or more creative than the daytime drama itself.
Soap Hub scoured fans’ comments to roundup some of the wildest theories right now, and here are some outrageous concepts below.
Riding Off Into The Sunset
Unexpectedly, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) returns to her old con ways in Genoa City. Considering news of the actress’s upcoming departure, the storyline likely sets up the character’s way of leaving the canvas.
Fan, Diane Kesys wrote in The Young and the Restless Fans Facebook group, “How about this… Justin [Hartley] is coming back as Adam. He and Chelsea will leave together.”
No doubt seeing Adam would thrill avid watchers of the show. However, such a short return might prove bittersweet in the end especially since it signals Chelsea’s exodus from Genoa City.
In The (Close) Family Way
While their parents have a close romantic relationship, Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli (Lamon Archey) might just one up them with their baby news, and depending on the future, things could get a little weird for the new little one.
Nicole Marie Howard from the Days of Our Lives Exclusive Facebook group pointed out, “Has it dawned on anyone that Lani is going to have a baby by her potential stepbrother [if Abe & Val get married]?”
Patient 7?
Nathan’s (Ryan Paevey) recent death left fans gutted. Ronda Goers from the General Hospital Fans Facebook group posted a theory that many hope turns out true.
“Valentin heard every word that Nina told Nathan, and I personally saw the love and sorrow in his eyes as Nina was talking to Nathan. Because of his love for Nina, I see Valentin hiding Nathan at the same hospital that Jason was at and helping him. He will be Patient 7 and his death was faked to keep him from Faison and Heinrich.”
Secret Child
In The Bold and the Beautiful Exclusive Facebook group, fan Connie Freita predicts, “Hope has Wyatt’s child that she supposedly miscarried and kept a secret to keep the baby away from Quinn. She will bring the child from Paris soon.”
While this would possibly lead to some rewritten history given Hope’s D&C after losing Wyatt’s baby, it could certainly shake things up in LA.
