Soap star Morgan Fairchild, actress, author, animal and social activist, public speaker, can also add TV show competitor to her list of skills!
On Sunday night, Fairchild will debut as one of the eight celebrities fighting to win $25,000 for charity – and the chance to sharpen their culinary skills – on Food Network’s Worst Cooks In America: Celebrity Edition.
Fairchild began her television career on the CBS daytime sudser Search For Tomorrow as the rich and neurotic turned obsessive murderous Jennifer Pace before moving on to memorable roles in primetime serials such as Dallas, Flamingo Road, and Paper Dolls.
In the 1990s ,Fairchild made numerous guest appearances on popular nighttime shows including Murphy Brown, Roseanne, and Murder She Wrote. She also had quite the memorably recurring role as a spiteful has-been actress Andrea Thorpe on Cybill.
Daytime soap opera fans will most likely remember Fairchild for her one year run on ABC’s The City and her turn as Anjelica Deveraux on Days Of Our Lives. Anjelica had been a long forgotten characters, but Fairchild breathed new life into her before Anj unexpectedly died from a heart attack.
Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition airs on Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET on the Food Network.
