Sheila Carter’s return to the land of the living and to The Bold and the Beautiful was one of the soaps’ most shocking moments of 2017! Perhaps equally surprising is that viewers haven’t been given an explanation as to how she survived the fatal shot fired by nemesis Lauren Fenmore back in 2007.
Soap Hub asked viewers if it’s time that The Young and the Restless‘ Lauren visited Los Angeles to have another confrontation with her long-time rival. Here are the results!
Oh, Sheila!
Almost 39% of you feel that Lauren should travel to California and, at the very least, learn that Sheila is alive. When Sheila popped up in Genoa City over a decade ago, she overheard people talking that Taylor Forrester was actually alive.
Sheila processed the fact that she had not killed Ridge’s wife. Doesn’t Lauren deserves to know that she also did not kill anyone — or if she did, the woman who died wasn’t Sheila?!
The Last Of Sheila
A lot of you, 43%, feel that no, Lauren should not visit L.A. You either want her to remain safe in Genoa City or you feel that this rivalry has run its course and it’s time for new stories to be told.
But if Lauren doesn’t find out Sheila’s alive, she’ll be caught unaware should Sheila decide to visit the Midwest and surprise her longtime foe!
Scene Of The Crime
The rest of you, over 18%, want to see another showdown between Sheila and Lauren, but you want to see it take place on Y&R. That makes sense as both women originated their characters on Y&R. Plus, all the people in Lauren’s storyline (Michael, Paul) who were there when Lauren shot Sheila (or “Sheila”) would be on hand.
Sheila told Lauren that she shot the “wrong person” as she was dying. At the time, it was implied that Sheila (who’d had plastic surgery to look like Phyllis) meant that Lauren had shot Phyllis (if so, “Phyllis” has been doing an incredible acting job for the last decade)!
But maybe whoever this woman was — was actually telling Lauren that Sheila was still alive?
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airtimes.
