Which Soap Opera Dad Is Considered the WORST?!!

Our favorite soap operas showcase some of the best dads – ones you wish were your own. But not everyone can be great, and some are downright awful. Soap Hub asked which soap dad is the worst, and you certainly had something to say about that!

The Mustache
Considering that the book about him is called Ruthless, it shouldn’t be a shock that 55% voted Victor (Eric Braeden) from The Young and the Restless (YR) as worst dad. After all, he did try to frame his son so he’d go to jail – to teach him a lesson.

And let’s not forget all the times he’s meddled in their relationships, promised them they could run the company and then fire them, or just disappeared. Bad dad!

The Titan
It seems Victor (John Aniston) is a popular name for bad dads because 22% believe the one on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) is also a piece of work.

And how could you not? Poor put upon Philip simply wanted to make his father proud. He ended up feeling dejected and left town.

The Mobster
Meanwhile 13% think Sonny (Maurice Benard) on General Hospital (GH) should take top dishonor.

His way of life got Michael shot in the head, led to Michael having to go to prison where he got raped, and led to all his kids getting kidnapped by a woman seeking revenge.

The CEO
Still 10% felt Eric (John McCook) from The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) should have been labeled the worst. He’s hired and fired his family more times than anyone can count.

But perhaps the worst was marrying a woman they saw as a homicidal maniac – and then pouted when they didn’t show up for the wedding!

Perhaps if he gave them more than two weeks to get used to her, things would have been different.
