Soaps are pulling out all the stops to get your attention and keep it, and sometimes to achieve that, the climax of a storyline (or the kickoff of one) kicks things up a notch.
Whether it’s blowing up a house, setting a huge fire, a fantastical wedding, or drugging an entire guest list at a huge party, your favorite soaps are stopping at nothing. Soap Hub asked which one got your attention the most and it was a close race.
Light Them Up
Winning with 38% was a huge fire set by Ava Jerome (Maura West) on General Hospital (GH). She was trying to fight back against Sonny and Carly but ended up only catching herself. The flames were mesmerizing.
Was this the ultimate punishment for Ava messing with Morgan’s pills? Perhaps — but not if Sonny and Carly have anything to do with it. In the meantime, it’s a good bet that Ava will be permanently changed – inside and out – for a while at least.
Ultimate Revenge
Coming right on the heels with 36% of the vote was when Chloe blew up the cabin with Adam (Justin Hartley) in it – on The Young and the Restless (YR).

Meanwhile, 21% chose the Days of Our Lives (DOOL) party in which most characters were drugged out of their mind, and then ended with Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) getting his just desserts. You loved the way we lost an hour where everything happened.
The mystery behind that, being revealed in pieces as participants begin to figure out what happened has captured your imagination – and interest.
Making an Entrance
For 5% of you, the culmination of Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Liam’s (Scott Clifton) love story with a wedding in Australia, complete with Steffy zip-lining to the ceremony, was the greatest feat and you’re still marveling at the moment being pulled off.
