Beloved soap veteran Robin Strasser has a new gig, which is going to be bringing her back to the airwaves. Later this year, she’s going to start appearing on Days Of Our Lives!
According to the March 11 issue of Soap Opera Digest, Strasser is best known to daytime fans for her Emmy-winning role as Dorian Lord on One Life to Live, will be coming to Salem in 2019.
The actress began her daytime career on The Secret Storm in Iris Ocasek in 1964. Three years later, she landed a role that put her on the daytime map as Another World’s ambitious Rachel Davis, a woman determined to create a better life for herself. She played that part until 1974.
After a brief stay in Pine Valley as All My Children’s Dr. Christina Karras, Strasser moved over to OLTL where she took over the role of Dorian and was there when the show broadcast its finale in January 2012.
A few years later, Strasser took part in the short-lived online revival of OLTL.
No word yet on who Strasser will be playing in Salem. She could be taking over the role previously played by someone else or she could be creating a brand new persona.
Either way, the casting reunites her with former OLTL head writer Ron Carlivati, now DAYS’ top scribe, who last year won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series.
As details about Strasser’s DAYS role becomes available, Soap Hub will bring you the news!
