Pre-Emption Update: How You Can Still See Today’s Soap Operas

The funeral of 41st President George H. W. Bush moved Americans as the three broadcast networks aired it on Wednesday, pre-empting all soap operas but General Hospital.

While West Coasters got re-run episodes of The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful, other time zones did not see the shows at all.

However, both CBS soaps scheduled to air today will air tomorrow in all time zones in their entirety.

Days of Our Lives was also pre-empted, but NBC doesn’t like pushing its only soap out a day and delaying any episodes, likely because of how far in advance the soap tapes.

Therefore, DAYS will be available online this evening at NBC.com.

As we already said, GH aired in its entirety throughout all U.S. timezones and was not affected in any way by funeral coverage.
