April was an excellent month for soap performances!
April was a big month for soap opera performances. Actors from The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, and General Hospital gave superb performances.
Each soap had several nominees. Soap Hub had you, the fans, vote, and here are your winners!
The nominees for April performer of the month for Y&R included Eric Braeden (Victor), Christel Khalil (Lily), Beth Maitland (Traci), and Eileen Davidson (Ashley). While each actor did an amazing job, Eileen Davidson won the honors as voted on by fans.
She portrayed not only Ashley but also her three new alters — Ms. Abbott, Ash, and Belle. Her performances of such distinct characters are what put Davidson over the top. Bravo, and congratulations!
B&B nominees for April included Lisa Yamada (Luna), Annika Noelle (Hope), and Sean Kanan (Deacon). You voted, and Kanan won the top honors for April.
His portrayal of Deacon working to figure out if a nine-toed Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) was still alive is what got fans’ attention. Ultimately, Deacon and Finn (Tanner Novlan) found Sheila alive, and now the drama is really beginning. Congratulations, Sean Kanan on a month filled with fantastic performances!
DAYS saw an excellent month filled with great acting. Those who were nominated included John Kapelos (Konstantin), Elia Cantu (Jada), Emily O’Brien (Theresa), and Eric Martsolf (Brady).
After the votes were tallied, Martsolf took home the April performer of the month win on DAYS. Congratulations on an amazing month delivering such compelling moments in Salem!
For GH, Tabyana Ali (Trina), Maura West (Ava), Cynthia Watros (Nina), and Laura Wright (Carly) received nominations for the top honors in April. Each actor did an amazing job bringing their character to life in Port Charles.
However, only one could win, and the fans chose Laura Wright’s portrayal of Carly to get the nod! Congratulations on an amazing month!
