Soap Hub‘s hits and misses for the week of September 7-11 included a scandalous pregnancy and a sabotaged meeting. Secrets were revealed, deals negotiated, and reintroductions were made. It’s time to dissect what went down on all five soaps: Beyond the Gates, The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless.

Hits and Misses Breakdown: September 7-11, 2026
Beyond the Gates
HIT: Naomi finally tells Bill that Hayley faked the ultrasound. It was nice when Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) told Dani (Karla Mosley) and the girls months and months after she originally discovered what Hayley (Marquita Goings) had done. But this week, when she finally let her father in on Hayley’s secret, it was very satisfying. And it seems like it may have lit a fire under Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett). Hayley, of course, had an excuse for faking the ultrasound. But Bill’s trust in her is fading.
MISS: Leslie sabotages Ted’s meeting and then gets rewarded. Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) literally hopped from sabotaging Ted’s meeting with Shanice’s brothers to Anita agreeing to Leslie’s terms regarding The Articulette’s upcoming album. She got her producer credit. And, later, she got to hear a recording of her mother. Don’t get us wrong. Leslie deserved to know more about Barbara. But Anita (Tamara Tunie) already conceded to her demands. Did we have to see Anita concede something else so soon? Why couldn’t Leslie wait for the studio?
Worth a Mention: We are thankful that Joey’s high-roller room got a major revamp. Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) wisely pushed this project forward despite Joey’s reluctance. And it’s great that Joey (Jon Lindstrom) didn’t act like his normal grumpy self when he saw the results. He loved it.

Bold and the Beautiful
HIT: Steffy’s pregnant, and she tells Carter. Yes, we all figured that this was where the story was leading once Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) drunkenly hooked up in the CEO’s office at Forrester Creations. But it didn’t make Steffy seeing the positive pregnancy test any less soapy and dramatic. And then she raced to Forrester to tell Carter. Perfect way to end a week. Bonus points for Steffy and Carter’s freaked-out expressions during their dinner from hell with Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Daphne (Murielle Hilaire). Their stares and glares had us rolling.
MISS: Will played with Dylan’s feelings. At the end of last week, Will (Crew Morrow) and Dylan (Sydney Bullock) had this really nice moment after Darcy (Kelly Sullivan) defended her daughter to Katie (Heather Tom). They started to leave, and Will told Dylan not to go. They hugged, and they connected. And then this week, the first thing he did after Dylan and Darcy left was rush to Electra’s, and they had this dramatic exchange at the door. Does he have genuine feelings for Dylan, or is she a placeholder until Electra (Laneya Grace) comes around? He needs to figure that out before he enters waffler territory.
Worth a Mention: Electra and Dylan need to look up what the term “best friend” really means and realize that they were never besties. They were friendly, and they hung out. But we’re not sure girl code applies to these two.

Days of our Lives
HIT: Sydney shows up in Monte Carlo. Sydney’s reintroduction onto the DAYS canvas was fun. She showed up in Monte Carlo opposite Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) and Gabi (Cherie Jimenez), who were there to save Titan. Sure, we’re adjusting to Sydney (Sydney Malakeh) being so grown that she has an MBA and a law degree. But we’ll be here for the ride. First impression: she could become an excellent pot-stirrer. We can’t wait for her to get back to Salem.
MISS: Piling the drama on Holly. How does Holly (Ashley Puzemis) ever leave the safety of her dorm room? Every time she steps one foot in public, something goes wrong. This time, Mason (Brandon Butler) continued to shun her without explaining why. And then at a lake, she got a mysterious text message. Somebody bubble wrap this girl for her own protection. And for anybody in her vicinity.
Worth a Mention: Speaking of Mason, his introduction has been intriguing, and we definitely want to know who he’s connected to in Salem. Also, Ari (Vico Escorcia) confronting him and getting a little bit of information out of him was much appreciated.

General Hospital
HIT: Finola Hughes. While the Anna-kidnapped-and-brainwashing storyline hasn’t been our favorite, her performances have been killer (pun intended). This week, she came close to offing Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) in cold blood. Anna wasn’t all there. She addressed Peter (Wes Ramsey) right in front of Jason and Britt. And when Jason finally got her to put the gun down, Anna realized she wasn’t okay. Finola Hughes followed up that Mount Emerson intensity with heartbreaking scenes back in Port Charles opposite Braedyn Bruner (Emma), Dominic Zamprogna (Dante), Kristina Wagner (Felicia), and, of course, Steve Burton (Jason). Hughes always reminds us how good an actor she is.
MISS: Trina blames Brook Lynn. Trina (Tabyana Ali) was so indignant that Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) never came forward about being the other driver the night of Jordan’s accident. Yes, she should have come forward. And we get the pain that Trina is feeling from seeing her father in prison. But that was on Curtis (Donnell Turner). The thing is…if anybody can relate to why Brook Lynn stayed silent, it should be Trina. After all, she is still holding onto a bigger secret. Part of the reason why Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) walks around PC free as a bird is because she and Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) didn’t come forward about being in Drew’s house the night of the shooting. A few people know. But not everyone.
Worth a Mention: Jordan (Tanisha Harper) and Michael (Rory Gibson) are interacting more, and we approve. They are able to relate to each other on a different level thanks to the scars and the burns that they both sustained. It’s a nice development. Hopefully, this friendship will continue to grow now that Jordan is the acting CEO of Aurora Media.

Young and the Restless
HIT: Audra is the MVP. Audra (Zuleyka Silver) received validation for her work with Vibrante after Victoria (Amelia Heinle) decided to revive the cosmetic company that Audra created. Victoria had to buy Audra’s patents if she wanted to get the business up and running quickly with Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) at the helm. She gave her conditions, but it wasn’t all about the money for her. In the process, she helped boost Spectra-Charles Media, and she set an example for Billy (Jason Thompson). Like him, she is her own worst enemy. But instead of clinging to the company she ran, she let it go. And then she urged Billy to do the same permanently.
MISS: Nick tries to take the blame for Marie’s tragedy. We get that Nick has (Josh Morrow) a major savior complex. But how could he say that Marie (Jade Harlow) wasn’t even in the room when he took the blame for killing Marie’s deadbeat husband? Thankfully, Marie didn’t let him take the fall. She confessed and cooperated with the cops. And, in return, Nick enlisted Michael’s legal skills to help Marie out. Phew.
Worth a Mention: One of the things we have liked about recent Y&R is that Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Sharon (Sharon Case) were in a better place with each other. And then Phyllis decided to use her shaky friendship with Sharon to usher in Matt Clark’s redemption. Matt (Roger Howarth) called it off, which is good. Hopefully, Sharon won’t ever discover what her friend Phyllis was about to do.
