Here are the latest comings and goings casting news from all four daytime dramas: The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless.
The Week of February 24, 2025
Find out if any of your favorite actors and actresses from yesteryear are returning to the shows you watch, if any newcomers have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles, or if any popular performers are about to make their exit.
General Hospital
Jeff Kober has wrapped up his role as the murderous Cyrus Renault. After five fiendish years as the GH’s mobster, the character met his demise last week when he was shot dead by Josslyn (Eden McCoy). Kober joined the soap in 2020 and earned a Daytime Emmy as Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2022.
The status of longtime star Jon Lindstrom, who has played Kevin Collins and his psychotic twin Ryan Collins on and off since 1992, remains uncertain. Lindstrom has landed the role of Joey Armstrong on the upcoming CBS soap Beyond the Gates, which films in Atlanta. Hence, his future as Laura’s (Genie Francis) husband on GH, which films in Los Angeles, has yet to be determined.
Guy Wilson, remembered for his stint as Will Horton on Days of our Lives, is temporarily subbing for Jonathan Jackson as Lucky Spencer. Wilson made his first appearance in the role last week. No reason has been given for Jackson’s absence, however, he is already back at the studio filming and will resume appearing as Lucky later this month.
Charlie Besso has nabbed the role of Aiden’s (Colin Cassidy) boyfriend, Tobias. The daytime newcomer, whose credits include The Calling, Will Trent, and Fallout, debuted last week.
Chris McKenna pops back in as Jack Brennan. The WSB official discusses his budding relationship with Carly (Laura Wright) on Tuesday, February 25.
The Young and the Restless
Two missing Genoa City stalwarts — namely, Sharon Case’s Sharon and Michelle Stafford’s Phyllis — mean more airtime for actor Conner Floyd, who plays Phillip “Chance” Chancellor IV. Look for the town’s ace cop to be featured again this week on Y&R as he leads the search for the MIA women.
The Bold and the Beautiful
Christian Weissman gets more screen time as B&B bad boy Remy Price, Electra’s (Laneya Grace) former stalker. The actor, who resurfaced last week after a few weeks off the canvas, is scheduled to air on Monday, February 24 and Tuesday, February 25. He’ll share scenes opposite Lisa Yamada’s murderous Luna. Could a new diabolical duo be on the soap’s horizon? Stay tuned…
Days of our Lives
A mother-daughter duo is back at DAYS this week. Rachel Boyd returns as pregnant teenager Sophia Choi. She appears on Friday, February 28 and will share scenes opposite Shi Ne Nielson, who plays her controlling mother, Amy Choi.
On the corporate front, Maggie Carney pops back in as Rita, EJ’s (Dan Feuerriegel) trusted assistant at DiMera Enterprises. Look for the character to appear on Wednesday, February 26, when EJ orders her to deal with the incorrigible Arnold (Galen Gering).
