Michele Val Jean, who is hard at work creating Beyond The Gates, a new CBS soap opera set to debut in 2025 on CBS. Fans are eagerly awaiting news about the show and now, Val Jean is giving a tidbit away.
“The train is in the station, people are boarding and taking seats!” Val Jean posted on X, formerly Twitter.
Fans are all onboard to learn more about the genre’s newest soap opera. “I cannot WAIT to hear who’s been cast on the show!! Soooo excited!!!” enthuses Jason Spitzer.
Soap Hub has learned that the show’s creative team will include a multiple Daytime Emmy award winning producer and a multiple Daytime Emmy award winning director. Currently, our lips are sealed on specifics! Names are being kept under wraps though until future announcements are made!
“I’m sure you experience this, but I have NEVER seen so many people collectively excited for a new network drama, regardless of network allegiance. You are serving parched people in the desert,” says Mark Harding off the post by Val Jean.
Donald Peebles Jr. writes: “Ooooh, Michele! I cannot wait for The Gates in January. I would gag and kiki if The Gates premieres on MLK Day. I will have my popcorn and other snacks ready. I know The Gates will be successful. I cannot wait for New York City or Los Angeles fan events.”
It’s likely that The Gates will include some familiar faces from the world of daytime drama. We can’t think of an instance in which a soap opera debuted without any recognizable actors. Will Obba Babatundé (ex-Julius, Bold and the Beautiful) be a cast member of The Gates? He recently asked on X: “Where does one get a ticket to board this Cho Cho ?”
