A Martinez, Marcy Walker, Lane Davies, and Nancy Lee Grahn, who played, respectively, Cruz, Eden, Mason, and Julia on the NBC soap opera Santa Barbara are getting back together. In fact, several cast members from the beloved series are reuniting for a fan event honoring the show on its 40th anniversary.

We’ll Be Seeing You

“Hello Wonderful All,” Davies began a Facebook post, announcing the reunion/fan event. “Join me and a long list of former cast [members], crew, and producers for the 40th anniversary of Santa Barbara, in loving memory of the show’s creator Bridget Dobson, and honoring her husband and co-creator Jerry Dobson (who is set to attend).”

The event is set for Friday, August 2, starting at 5 p.m. at The Colony Theater in Burbank, Calif. not far from where the show taped on the then-NBC lot.

“Many of the original main cast will be there, including A Martinez [Eduardo, Days of our Lives], Louise Sorel [Vivian Alamain, DAYS], Vincent Irizarry (Deimos Kiriakis, DAYS], writers, directors, crew including Richard Bloore the magic man behind the costumes on both Santa Barbara and DAYS.”

As viewers recall, Cruz and Eden emerged as the show’s most popular duo. The duo’s love story culminated in an on-screen wedding in wedding which aired on April 1, 1988. Walker hasn’t been in the public eye all that much since she exited her role as Liza on All My Children in 2005.

Scheduled (but not guaranteed) to attend the event in addition to A Martinez and the other previously mentioned folks are Bridget and Jerry’s daughter Mary, Judith McConnell (Sophia), Harley Jane Kozak (Mary), Robert Thaler (Pearl), Joseph Bottoms (Kirk), Jane Sibbett (Jane/Roxanne), Steve Meadows (Peter AKA the Carnation Killer), Richard Eden (Brick), John Allen Nelson (ex-Warren), Sherilyn Wolter (ex-Elena), Terri Garber (ex-Suzanne), Ally Walker (Andrea), Peter Love (Ric), Ava Lazar (Santana), Michael Brainard (Ted), Robert Newman (Kirk), Robert Fontaine (Rafe), Terry Davis (Madeline Capwell), Robert Brian Wilson (Channing Chapwell, Jr.), Kathy Shower (Janice Harrison), Terry Davis (Madeline), Miranda Wilson (Sandra), Joel Bailey (Lindsay Smith), and Gina Gallego (Santana Andrade)

Some of the show’s writers and production team are set to attend as well including Patrick Mulcahey (General Hospital) and Courtney Simon (ex-Lynn Michaels, As the World Turns), Michele Val Jean (The Gates), Thom Racina (GH), Debbie Bachtell, Penny Moore, Catherine Chacon Kalyani Depew, and Rob Chatlin.

Former Santa Barbara directors Peter Brickerhoff and Andrew Weyman are also on the guest list.

What to wear? Organizers are suggesting “smart, casual, cocktail, summer attire.” This once-in-a-lifetime event is hosted by and will benefit the Conasauga Shakespeare Coalition. Click here for information on tickets.
