Before this soap star was part of the original cast of The Bold and the Beautiful as the first Ridge Forrester, actor/musician Ronn Moss found fame as a member of the rock band Player, the group known for its hit single Baby Come Back.
Moss left his role as B&B’s Ridge Forrester in 2012 after a successful 25-year run. After that, he and fellow band member Peter Beckett came to a parting of the ways that eventually led to litigation as to who owned the rights to the band’s name.
Good news! Now, Moss and Beckett have resolved their trademark dispute.
In a joint statement, both artists have announced that they will be going in separate directions, but each agrees that the name “Player” belongs to both of them.
The statement went on to read: “That said, Beckett and Moss have agreed to allow each other limited use of the Player mark going forward.
“So as to avoid any potential fan confusion, Beckett and Moss have agreed to add their own name in front of the Player mark…i.e. Peter Beckett’s Player and Ronn Moss’ Player. Beckett and Moss each wish the other nothing but success going forward.”
Watch for updates from Moss as he continues to share future concert dates featuring ‘Ronn Moss’ Player’!
I am happy that the trademark battle for #PLAYER has been settled. A press release is coming soon and I will form my own band to tour in the states as Ronn Moss’PLAYER which will include John Walsh aka #JawnStar and Jimmy Carnelli with a couple added surprises coming for 2019
