After remaining silent for a week following, TMZ and other news outlets reporting that he spent time in a mental facility, Kristoff St. John has broken his silence on social media.
While he does not confirm what happened to him, St. John did tweet for the first time since October 12 late Saturday afternoon with a message of hope.
His tweet is a screenshot of a quote about transformation in life, in how you see things and how you handle setbacks. The quote also speaks of enlightenment and meditation.
When TMZ first broke the story last week of St. John’s hospitalization, it claimed he tried to kill himself and sent pictures holding a gun to his ex-wife Mia.
She later said he never sent her those pictures, and went on record with Entertainment Tonight saying something happened that led to a larger incident.
“Last week, an incident occurred, that pushed him to the breaking point, but was not accurately reported,” she said.
“I hope that at this moment we can all wrap our arms around Kristoff and help him in this time of need. Help him heal and move forward. This is not a ‘gossip’ story, or an interesting headline, this is a man trying to deal with a tragedy, that has torn apart his soul. Right now what he needs is your thoughts and prayers.”
Nearly three years ago, St. John’s son, Julian, killed himself and he and Mia have been advocating for mental health awareness ever since.
