John Stamos Is FINALLY A Dad… And The Picture He Shared Is EVERYTHING!

John Stamos waited until almost 55 to become a dad, and he lets us know that his new baby was worth the wait!

The handsome actor, who got his start on General Hospital from 1982-1984, tweeted a melt-your-heart snap of his adorable new son, Billy (named after his father who died in 1998), lying on his chest.

Becoming a first-time dad at 54 is obviously a joy to the popular fan favorite. Finally, he’s a father and not just an uncle.

He’s portrayed possibly one of the most famous uncles on an off since 1987 — Uncle Jesse on the hit sitcom, Full House — and later on its sequel, Fuller House. His rapport with all of the child actors on the show made their onscreen connection even more believable.

The actor married Caitlin McHugh back on February 3 of this year but announced her pregnancy late last year after dating since 2015. His excitement about being a new father was obvious. He shared a touching photo to his Instagram account (see below) of his father looking at him as a baby, saying he couldn’t wait to look at his baby like that.

Prior to his most recent marriage, Stamos was married to actress Rebecca Romijn from 1998 to 2005. He has enjoyed success as both an actor and a musician, often sitting in with the Beach Boys as their drummer at various tour dates around the country — and even went on tour with them at one point.

Hopefully, this will be the first of many pictures the actor will share so fans can see Billy grow up to be as handsome has his famous father.
