Eric and Lauren
It looks like John McCook is bringing his The Bold and the Beautiful character back to The Young and the Restless.
"); } // ]]>According to EW.com fashion mogul Eric Forrester will be traveling to Genoa City to visit his former lover Lauren (Tracey Bregman) who recently found her own fashion empire in dire straights.
It isn’t surprising that Lauren would turn to her old friend, either to ask him to invest or at least to get advice. He’s been running the successful Forrester Creations for decades after all.

This isn’t Eric’s first trip to Genoa City. The character came to town back in 2005 2008 and again in 2013. Of course McCook was a huge star on the show in its earliest years portraying heartthrob Lance Prentiss from 1976 until 1980. He left the show and returned to the Bell Family (who produce both shows) fold in 1987 to help launch their newest soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful where he has been ever since.
At one point Lauren left Genoa City and moved to Los Angeles when Bregman joined B&B. While there Lauren and Eric became lovers. She has gone back and forth between shows several times with her last appearance being in 2007.
According to the EW article the special episode featuring John McCook’s Eric will air on Friday January 27.
