It was an exciting week for all four soaps this week but these four stories really set their respective shows on fire!
Hard to believe that this isn’t a sweeps month (the time when soaps pull out all the stops in order to set ad revenue), considering how amazing the soaps were. Each one had a story that was a step above the others to make their shows can’t-miss TV.
Days of Our Lives
The tale of Abigail (Marci Miller) and her alters kicked into high gear this week when Marlena (Deidre Hall) got involved.
Abigail went to see her, upset that she had weird things happening to her that she couldn’t explain. It didn’t take long for Marlena to figure out that Abby was suffering from DID.
Not only that, she eventually figured out that “Gabigail” was the one who appeared on the video footage the night Andre was killed. “Gabigail” freaked out, conked Marlena over the head, and now the good doctor is being held against her will.
The Young and the Restless
It’s been so hard to watch a strong woman like Victoria (Amelia Heinle) take the abuse that JT (Thad Luckinbill) has been dishing out to her but all of that changed this week when Victoria grabbed JT’s phone and learned the truth — he was trying to bring down her father.
Victoria quickly ended things and hightailed it back home to Genoa City. But JT followed her and it wasn’t long before all hell broke loose. The upshot? JT appears to be dead, leaving Victoria, her mom, and her gal pals with even more trouble.
General Hospital
This was the week we finally learned what happened to little Bobby and Andy when they were children.
Franco (Roger Howarth) confronted his abuser, and when it looked like Jim Harvey (Greg Evigan) had the upper hand and was going to kill him, Drew (Billy Miller) came through the door and shot him — saving Franco’s life.
The Bold and the Beautiful
Few shows can keep big cast returns secret like this soap. On a Thursday, no less. Taylor (Hunter Tylo) FINALLY returned to Los Angeles and boy did she let loose on Bill (Don Diamont) for taking advantage of her daughter, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). This return has thrilled fans and really kicked things into high gear.
