Guess Which Hunky Soap Star Started as a Professional Boxer!

Did you know that one of these four incredibly hunky soap stars started his career as a professional boxer?

While it’s difficult to believe that DAYS actor Vincent Irizarry (Deimos Kirakis), Y&R actor Sean Carrigan (Dr. Ben “Stitch” Rayburn), GH actor Billy Miller (Jason Morgan), or B&B actor Don Diamont (Bill Spencer) once took headshots that weren’t for acting reasons, one of them certainly did!

Could It Be Billy Miller?
The Tulsa-born actor, Billy Miller, did not have a career in boxing before his thriving daytime career. This actor did, however, spend five years in his childhood as a patient at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Now, as a successful adult, Miller is able to support the hospital that he spent so much time in as a child.

Additionally, the talented daytime thespian was also one of only twenty students in the University of Texas in Austin film department’s intensive Production Sequence.

What About Vincent Irizarry?
The dreamy DAYS actor actually did do something huge before beginning his sudsy career. However, that “something huge” wasn’t a career as a professional boxer.

Vincent Irizarry trained as a classical pianist, and fans are often treated to a bit of his talent and grace when the character he portrays, Deimos, broods at the piano. In fact, the piano may be the most sympathetic thing about the character.

Don Diamont For The Win?
The incredibly sexy Don Diamont has taken plenty of headshots in his time. In fact, a few of those appeared in People’s Magazine in the past — but not as a professional boxer.

Diamont became daytime’s first actor to appear on People’s 50 Most Beautiful People in the World in 1990. That’s not too difficult to believe.

Last, But Not Least, Sean Carrigan
Yes, it’s the enticing The Young and the Restless actor, Sean Carrigan who had an entire career as a professional boxer in the late 1990s. Daytime wasn’t even the co-founder of the production company Woodhead Entertainment’s second career. After retiring from boxing, he took a turn as a standup comedian, and that’s something he still pursues.

Finally, in 2013, Carrigan won the role as Stitch on Y&R, and the rest is sudsy history! All we can say is thank goodness none of the punches he took caused permanent damage or disfigurement.
