Vanessa Marcil, who shot to daytime fame as Brenda Barrett on General Hospital way back in 1992, is celebrating quite the milestone today.
The actress was born on October 15, 1968 and turns 50 years old today, something many will find hard to believe.
She’s celebrating this amazing achievement by also celebrating women and all they can do. Marcil posted a picture of her svelte stomach on Instagram, proclaiming this is where she “grew” her son, calling women “warriors.”
“This is where I grew my son! Inside of my guts…because women are… warriors. Celebrating women again tonight. Our strong minds our strong bodies & our beautifully strong, loyal and vulnerable hearts,” she wrote.
“I’m mostly excited to celebrate my girl @andreaschroder1 ‘s bravery & newfound freedom this month. If you are a woman just know that #IAmWithYouSister & if you are a man who respects & loves women than #IAmWithYouBrother #ThisIs50.”
Marcil was born in Indio, CA and to the late musician, Prince, she was “the most beautiful girl in the world,” — the hit song he reportedly wrote about her as well as having cast her in the video for it.
She’s appeared off and on as Brenda for more than 25 years, and also had primetime roles on Beverly Hills 90210 and Las Vegas.
