After spending six years on and off The Bold and The Beautiful (BB) as Caroline Spencer, actress Linsey Godfrey is apparently jumping ship to Days of Our Lives (DOOL).
While rumors of her move have been circulating online for weeks, according to the Jason47 DAYS Website, it’s now been confirmed.
There aren’t any other details, like when she started, when she’ll air, or even who she will be playing, but one guess is the long-lost Sarah Horton.
Sarah is the daughter of Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) and while raised by Mickey Horton, she was actually the biological child of Neil Curtis. The character was born in 1981, which would make the character about seven years younger than Godfrey.
Reverse aging isn’t something new to DAYS, having done so a few times with Dr. Mike Horton, as just one example. But it’s far from a done deal that is who she would be playing.
The bigger question might be wondering which character she might be paired with romantically. Brady (Eric Martsolf) might be a good choice but the heir to the Kiriakis fortune is already torn between two sisters, Eve (Kassie DePaiva) and Theresa (Jen Lilley).
Which brings up another interesting point. Lilley’s stay is rumored to be winding down, but Theresa is really an important character in Salem. Could Godfrey be a recast that keeps Theresa in town for good? That seems like a longshot.
As for other people she could be linked to romantically, there’s also JJ (Casey Moss), who has been floundering around romantically ever since his relationship with Lani (Sal Stowers) hit the skids, as well as Eli (Lamon Archey), the reason that relationship hit the skids.
It all depends on who she will play, and therefore who she is related to that will play a huge part, considering it’s easy to be related to half the town in Salem.
