Fans Want To Be This Type of Soap Character! Do You?

One of the fun things about daytime drama is that fans can often picture themselves in the story.

With popular fan fiction, sometimes fans are even able to write out their very own ideas and adventures with popular characters from General Hospital (GH), The Young and the Restless (YR), Days of Our Lives (DOOL), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB).

Soap Operas have several character “types” in the genre. There’s the villain that everybody loves to hate (or just hates), the hero/heroine, and everybody’s friend.

Soap Hub asked which type of character you would want to be if you got the chance to be on the popular sudsers.

Friends are Friends Forever
A huge majority of you, 63%, want to be everyone’s friend if they ever get to be a soap character. You like watching these characters on daytime, and you’d love to get the chance to be the person everybody could count on whenever they’re happy or in trouble.

You think being a great friend like Kayla (Mary Beth Evans, DOOL) would be the best way to fit in in Salem, Genoa City, Los Angeles, and Port Charles! It would certainly be a lot of fun.

Everybody Loves to Hate a Villian
While friends are nice and all, 20% of you a villain or villainess is where it’s at on soap operas!

If you got the chance, you’d jump at being a character everybody loves to hate. Whether it’s somebody like Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown, BB and YR), Deimos (Vincent Irizarry, DOOL), or Ava (Maura West, GH), you would enjoy being the big baddie in town!

Being evil never felt so good!

Everybody Loves a Hero!
The remaining 17% of you think being a hero is the way to go on daytime TV. The guys like YR’s Nick (Joshua Morrow) or GH’s Jason (Billy Miller) who save everybody is the character you’d most love to be.
