Fans Want More of THIS From Their Favorite Soap Operas

There are countless storyline types a soap opera can have going at one time.

But every fan knows what they enjoy watching most and what makes them tune in day after day. Soap Hub asked what  you enjoy most and the answer may surprise you.

Building a Mystery
After almost 3,000 votes were tallied, 44% said that it’s the mysteries that keep you coming back for more.

General Hospital (GH) fans are dying to know what the Chimera is all about that involves Jason (Billy Miller) and his son Jake – as well as Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart).

A Fine Romance
Another 44% say it’s the sweeping romantic love stories that have you tuning in. The Young and the Restless (YR) has one of the strongest love stories with Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) that has gone on for decades. Their kids are involved in their own romances, as well.

Computer Issues
Still, 8% of you have been drawn to over-the-top villains over the years, like Stefano (Joe Mascolo) on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) and now Deimos (Vincent Irizarry).

You can’t wait to see what he’ll do next to make enemies’ lives (and that of the woman he loves) a living hell.

On the Road
The final 5% of you appreciate it when soaps take you to exotic ports of call that you may never have gotten the chance to visit otherwise.

The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) had recent trips to Monte Carlo and Australia, and you loved the outside location shots almost as much as the stories.
