Fans Feel THIS Way About Their Soaps Going Supernatural

Every soap opera has taken a trip into the supernatural, whether it’s a super villain who has managed to come back from the dead a gazillion times or something far more obvious like had an alien landing in town.

Do you remember when General Hospital (GH) had Casey the alien befriend Robin (Kimberly McCullough)? And let’s not forget Mikkos Cassadine who tried to freeze Port Charles with a weather machine. His wife Helena continued to wreak crazy havoc for years.

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) had a Devil of a time when Marlena (Deidre Hall) became possessed and of course there’s Stefano (Joe Mascolo), who came back from the dead more times than we can count.

The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) tends to keep its proverbial feet on the ground for the most part, but they did have uber villain Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown), who got away with fantastical things that no one could pull off.

Shelia did much of the same on The Young and the Restless (YR). And let’s face it – Adam (Justin Hartley) and Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) both managed to pull off the impossible so it would seem they had a bit of supernatural help.

So, how do fans feel about shows dipping into the supernatural? Soap Hub wanted to know.

Stay Put
After over 6,000 votes were tallied, it seems that 75% of you are firmly against any hocus pocus on your shows. You like your drama to be earthbound and based in a reality that is already dramatic enough.

Bring It On
Apparently 25% like it when your daytime show acts like prime time and gets a bit fantastical. Some of you would put up with the whole year being a dream if you could get some of your dead characters back where they belong.
