The news that CBS Daytime renewed their daytime lineup with The Young and the Restless (YR) getting a three-year renewal and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) renewed through next year, sent excited ripples through sudser fans!

While you know that CBS Daytime has been number one for nearly three decades, this news brings hope for you that all soap operas will stay on the air for the foreseeable future.
In fact, a landslide 88% of you see this positive development as something advantageous for all remaining daytime dramas. Perhaps you even believe that ABC and NBC will consider following suit the next time General Hospital (GH) and Days of Our Lives (DAYS) are up for renewal.
Not only that but maybe you see that this uptick in interest could mean a broader range of soaps to watch sometime in the near future!

Not Convinced
Although this is great news for fans of CBS sudsers, 7% of you are still not convinced this announcement heralds the second coming of soaps. Maybe you think it’s just a three-year reprieve even for these most popular dramas or that this doesn’t transfer to the other two networks since they each do things differently.
It could be that you see the writing on the wall and the fact that audiences and viewing habits are changing and you think that eventually scheduled network TV will go away almost entirely.
No matter what your reason, you’re just persuaded that the end of daytime isn’t coming somtime in the near future.
