Molly Burnett on General Hospital
It seems the early Friday reports of a brand-new face for “General Hospital’s” Maxie are true. And, that brand-new face will be none other than former “Days of Our Lives” fave Molly Burnett.
Burnett will first begin airing in July, according to Soap Opera Digest. Reports still say that actress Kirsten Storms is only taking a temporary leave of absence from the show, but will return. In the meantime, DAYS fans will have a treat if they want to cross networks and catch some GH.
In a case of “It’s a Small Soap World After All”–the last time Storms took leave, DAYS actress Jen Lilley filled in and brought Maxie Jones to life. On DAYS, both Lilley’s and Burnett’s were rivals over Brady Black last year. Fans last saw Burnett in Salem this past January when Melanie returned to town for her father’s funeral.
Burnett comes on the scene just in time for Maxie’s story to heat up with the casting of Bree Williamson (ex-Jessica, One Life to Live) as the mysterious Claudette.
