It’s called daytime drama, but there is nothing about it that limits it to hours when the sun is up.
After all, the same things that happen on The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), Days Of Our Lives (DOOL), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Resltless (YR) also happen regularly on Empire, Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy, The Blacklist, and, heck, on The Big Bang Theory, NCIS, Law & Order: SVU, and even America’s Got Talent!
So if your daytime soaps were to make the switch to primetime, would you move with them? Almost 20,000(!) enthusiastic viewers weighed in!
Wherever You Go, Whatever You Do, We’re Going To Go Through It Together
Daytime, nighttime, anytime! For 67% of you, it doesn’t matter when the soaps are on, you’ll be there, in front of the screen watching.
There’s no way you’d miss Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Victor (Eric Braeden) explain every evil deed away by saying they did it for their beloved families, while the Forresters keeps trading partners within the same family, and the people of Salem continue their endless Daniel mourning.
Time Shift
Who cares when shows are on, wonder another 24%, when you can record anything to watch at anytime. What do you think this is? The 20th Century?
Fans are no longer at the mercy of a broadcast schedule. We can have our shows anytime we like so, go ahead networks, do your worst and schedule the shows whenever you like. We’ll still watch on our own time!
Day After Day
No, pout an ornery 9%. Love in the afternoon is supposed to happen in the afternoon. Not in the morning, not in the evening, and not during primetime. With so much change in the world these days, can’t at least one thing stay the same?
Besides, soaps just don’t look right in the evening up against the filmed shows….
